Diodes Incorporated PI4IOE5V6416RQ The Diodes Incorporated PI4IOE5V6416RQ I/O expander is a 16-bit universal I/O expander that provides remote I/O expansion through an I2C bus interface for most microcontroller families. When additional I/O is required, the I/O extender provides a simple solution while minimizing interconnection.

The PI4IOE5V6416RQ I/O extender has bidirectional voltage level conversion provided through the VDD(I2C_bus), which should be connected to the VDD of the external SCL/SDA line. The I/O extender has an open interrupt INT output pin that changes to low when the input state of the GPIO port changes from the input state default register value.

The PI4IOE5V6416RQ I/O expander also has interrupt masking, which allows users to mask interrupts from a single GPIO port. Support AEC-Q100 (Level 2), completely lead-free, RoHS compliant. The I/O extender is ideal for sensor, button, keyboard, and battery powered mobile applications (for connectivity).
