Diodes Incorporated introduced the 500mA LDO to automotive specifications, providing superior PSRR in high power density sizes

     Diodes Inc. has introduced the highly optimized AP7347DQ Low Voltage Differential (LDO) regulator for automotive applications with demanding noise-sensitive power supplies. The high output precision LDO meets automotive specifications, is AEC-Q100 Level 1 certified, is manufactured in IATF 16949 certified facilities and fully supports the Automotive Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP). These features make the product ideal for designing a number of critical on-board functions, including load point (POL) product applications in ADAS, automotive wireless communication systems, RF subsystems, and power supplies for infotainment systems.

     The 75-dB power rejection ratio (PSRR) and output noise of only 60µVrms give the AP7347DQ a considerable advantage in performance. It has 12 fixed output voltages and maintains a voltage output accuracy of ±1% over operating temperatures ranging from -40°C to 125°C. A wide input voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V meets the requirements of many automotive applications, while a static current of 60µA reduces standby power loss.

     The AP7347DQ has an enable pin; If the device is disabled, the built-in active discharge function ensures that the system can be started in a known state. The overheating and short circuit protection functions are integrated, and 180mA turn back current limit is added in case of short circuit. AP7347DQ is packaged with SOT25 and high power density side wall electroplating W-DFN2020-6 (SWP).
