Diodes Inc. expands its range of voltage potential converters with the PI4ULS3V304AQ. This advanced potential conversion technology is extremely flexible in use and is essential for modern automotive design. It addresses the challenges faced by low-voltage microprocessors and microcontrollers integrated into automotive systems that need to drive external devices (such as sensors and EMI filters) that are different from their own voltage levels.
This configurable 4-bit IC is capable of high-speed operation, guaranteeing a data transfer rate of 140Mbps. It provides bidirectional voltage potential conversion for increasingly common push-pull product applications.
Two different power supply rails can be tracked through ports A and B of the PI4ULS3V304AQ. The IC can provide 0.9V to 2.0V conversion on Port A and 1.65V to 3.6V conversion on Port B. When executed with a full 100pF capacitor drive, the propagation delay is kept within 13ns. The device complies with AEC-Q100 Grade 1 specification and is ideal for use in automobiles. Its main product applications are suitable for infotainment, driving assistance and in-vehicle information communication.
Operating temperatures range from -40°C to 125°C and include 2kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. The innovative Output Enabling (EN) feature means that either of the PI4ULS3V304AQ's two I/O ports (A or B) can be turned off to reduce power consumption when not in use. Automatic bidirectional operation without adding directional control pins.
