Diodes introduces dual channel high-side switches to provide durable protection for automotive applications

     Diodes further expands its IntelliFET self-protected MOSFET portfolio with the introduction of the first automotive standard dual-channel high-side power switches - the ZXMS82090S14PQ, ZXMS82120S14PQ and ZXMS82180S14PQ. These smart switches deliver high power in a compact size while providing durable protection and diagnostic functions. This series is designed to drive 12V automotive device loads such as leds, bulbs, actuators and motors in automotive body control and lighting systems.

     The three switch products feature a 41V rated N-channel dual MOSFET array with onboard circuitry that provides short circuit protection, handles inrush current and prevents overvoltage conditions such as sudden load drops. In addition, these switches offer overheat protection with automatic restart, as well as protection against static damage. In addition, some external components provide ground failure and Reverse Polarity protection.

     Dedicated electrical flume pins accurately monitor analog current output and provide fault indications for battery short circuits, ground short circuits, and open load detection.

     These IntelliFET products provide an efficient, reliable, and smaller alternative to relays, fuses, and discrete circuits, while maintaining the same form factor, applicability, and functionality as existing power switching devices, providing customers with a better product choice.

     The ZXMS82090S14PQ, ZXMS82120S14PQ and ZXMS82180S14PQ comply with AEC-Q100 grade specifications, are manufactured in IATF 16949 certified facilities and support PPAP documentation. The product is packaged in a high thermal efficiency SO-14EP package.
