Diodes Incorporated announced the AP7353 low voltage drop regulator, which delivers a high power rejection ratio (PSRR) in a small package to meet noise sensitive battery-powered devices such as wearables, portable devices, and connected sensors.
The AP7353 is available in X1-WLB0707-4 (Type A1) and X2-DFN1010-4 (Type B) packages with dimensions less than 1mm on each side. These sizes result in a small footprint that supports densely populated printed circuit board layouts. Despite its large size, the AP7353 delivers the voltage and current levels required by the latest electronic devices currently deployed to the Internet of Things, up to 4.5V at 250mA.
The AP7353 has a PSRR of 90dB at 1kHz and a static current of only 18μA, making it particularly suitable for battery-powered devices that include noise-sensitive analog circuits or RF interfaces. The AP7353's high PSRR and its 10µV broadband noise voltage help support a high signal-to-noise ratio. These attributes position the AP7353 as the leading low pressure drop (LDO) regulator in this application.
The enable pin of the AP7353 allows the LDO regulator to enter standby mode when it is not needed. For increased robustness, short-circuit and overheat protection are also included. An AP7353D version is available that releases output when disabled.
The AP7353 operates over a wide input voltage range of 2.0V to 5.5V, has a fixed output voltage of 1.8V to 4.5V, and has an accuracy of ± 1% and line adjustment of 0.001% / mA when providing output current from the following devices. 1mA to 250mA.
