Diodes offers a wide range of two-wire monopole and latch switchers that meet automotive specifications

     Diodes announced a range of automotive specification dual-wire single-pole (AH323xQ/4xQ) and latching (AH327xQ/8xQ) switcher integrated circuits (ics) that provide high sensitivity and stability over a wide operating voltage and temperature range. These ics can be used in automotive proximity and position sensing product applications, including seat belt buckles, power Windows, gear selectors, and seat position. The use of a two-wire Hall switcher reduces the number of wires required in the harness, reducing the complexity and cost of the system, while increasing robustness against electrical noise.

     All AH32xxQ devices come in the SC59 package. AEC-Q100 compliant, manufactured in an IATF 16949 certified facility with PPAP documentation support. The AH324xQ and AH328xQ have built-in self-diagnostics for continuous monitoring of main unit blocks, power supply voltage and temperature. The third output state warns of anomalies. These units, developed using a rigorous design process, have been ISO 26262 ASIL-B certified and have undergone safety analysis according to the ISO 26262 standard.

     Diodes' advanced chopper stabilization design provides excellent stability at operating voltages from 2.7V to 27V and temperatures from -40˚C to +150˚C for magnetic operating and release points (BOP/BRP). This stability, combined with a high ESD rating of 8kV, built-in reverse blocking diodes and power pin Zener clamping, enables the AH32xxQ series to meet the demanding requirements of automotive proximity/position sensing product applications.
