Diodes optimizes PNP transistors for automotive matrix LED lighting

     Diodes Incorporated announced the launch of auto-compatible ZXTP56060FDBQ and ZXTP56020FDBQ dual PNP transistors. These new products provide Oems with an efficient solution for controlling matrix LED lamp clusters. The ZXTP56060FDBQ and ZXTP56020FDBQ are manufactured in IATF 16949 certified plants and are compatible with the Automotive Industry Action Group's Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP). These devices are available in a compact DFN2020 package (2mm x 2mm x 0.6mm),

     The automotive industry is transitioning to adaptive LED headlights and is rapidly adopting dynamic turn signals based on LED technology. This move creates a need for high-density, high-power optimized transistors for LED shunt in matrix lighting and sweep indicator applications.

     The ZXTP56060FDBQ and ZXTP56020FDBQ meet this need with optimized solutions for controlling LED light strings. Fully AEC-Q101 compliant, these devices have a very low VCE (SAT) and provide a 60V (ZXTP56060FDBQ) or 20V (ZXTP56020FDBQ) breakdown voltage while providing a continuous collector current of 2A. With a maximum VCE (SAT) of 200mV at 700mA LED current, the ZXTP56020FDBQ minimizes power consumption and reduces operating temperature to improve service life and system reliability, while providing a maximum power consumption of 2.47W for a compact design.
