Diodes produce intelligent high-side switchers

     Diodes announced the launch of the DIODES ZXMS81045SPQ, its first self-protective, automotive compliant high-side IntelliFET™ product. This small size device provides high power, protection and diagnostic functions and is suitable for driving 12V vehicle installation loads such as leds, bulbs, actuators and motors in automotive body control and lighting systems.

    ZXMS81045SPQ provides an efficient, reliable, small size alternative to relays, fuses and discrete circuits. If the customer needs to improve the product supply, the product is also comparable to existing power switchers in terms of shape, applicability and functionality. It is manufactured in a facility that complies with AEC-Q100, is approved by PPAP, and is certified by IATF 16949.

     The ZXMS81045SPQ also features an N-mode field-effect transistor (FET) rated at 41V, whose onboard circuitry provides short-circuit protection, handles inrush current and prevents overvoltage such as sudden load drops. The ZXMS81045SPQ also features overheating protection with automatic restart and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. In addition, some external components can provide ground failure and reverse polarity protection.
