Diodes produced three - step power switches with variable voltage - transfer - rate control

     New models of multifunctional single - channel high - side power switches are produced by the Diodes Co. AP22980 can choose three different voltage conversion rates, so it can handle a wider capacitive load, while maintaining low surge current to ensure system stability. The power switch is ideal for portable electronics, computer hardware and solid-state data storage systems deployed in edge data centers.

     The AP22980 features an n-channel MOSFET, a built-in charge pump, and an extremely low Rds(ON) of just 5.1mΩ, enabling high current load applications up to 6A and significantly reducing voltage drop and power loss. The component has an independent VBIAS pin, which significantly reduces the minimum input voltage supported, extending the input voltage range (from 0.285V to 5.5V) for increased application flexibility.

     The AP22980 (typical) static supply current is 60µA, making it the best choice if low standby power consumption is the first requirement. This unit operates in a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. When the interface temperature exceeds 150°C, the overheat protection mechanism is triggered.
