Dual channel optical coupler phototransistors provide a space saving solution

     Wurth Elektronik has extended its product line of WL-OCPT optical couplers with the DIP-8 design. These dual channel optical coupler phototransistors have eight pins now available. The design contains two circuits in a single component, consisting of two input leds and two output phototransistors, so that two independent circuits can be controlled with a single component.

     The CTR range of a two-channel device is 130-400% in cases where the input current is 5mA and the collector-emitter voltage is 5V. The DIP-8 optical coupler pack is available in standard, M, S, and SL lead frame variants depending on the ground mode on the PCB. The lead frame is made of copper to ensure optimum weldability.

     The series provides a stable current transfer ratio (CTR) over the entire operating temperature range (-55℃ to +110℃). din-en-60747-5-5 Certified components have an insulation voltage of 5000V, a collector-emitter voltage of 80V, and a maximum forward current of 60mA.
