The NCT75 is a dual-wire series programmable temperature sensor with overtemperature/output output pins to signal beyond limits, the NCT75 comes in three space-saving packages - 8-pin DFN, 8-pin Micro8 and 8-pin SOIC, and is fully pin and register compatible with the LM75 and TCN75.

The NCT75 is a dual-wire series programmable temperature sensor with an overtemperature/interrupt output pin to signal beyond the limits. This is a leak-open pin that works in comparator or interrupt mode. Temperature measurements are converted to digital form using a high resolution (12-bit)sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC).

 

The operating temperature range of the device is -55°C to +125°C. The communication with the NCT75 is completed through the SMBus/I2C interface. Three address selection pins, A2, A1 and A0, can be used to connect up to eight NCT75s to a single bus. The internal registers of the NCT75 can be accessed through this interface. These registers allow the user to read the current temperature, change configuration Settings, and adjust temperature limits.

 

The NCT75 has a wide supply voltage range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V. At 3.3V, the average supply current is 575 A. It also offers an off mode to save power. The typical turn-off current is 3a. The NCT75 comes in three space-saving packages - 8-pin DFN, 8-pin Micro8 and 8-pin SOIC, and is fully pin and register compatible with the LM75 and TCN75.
