ERNI introduces a new signal version and accompanying power connector

     ERNI is now expanding signal support for its MicroSpeed product family, including the introduction of versions with additional 26, 32 and 44 pin counts, and the addition of unshielded power connector products to the power supply segment. The richer product offerings allow ERNI to more accurately meet the specific requirements of its customers and provide them with greater development flexibility through greater product diversity, thus gaining a greater competitive advantage in the global market.

     In addition to the compact size of MicroSpeed products, its high vibration resistance, excellent machinability and durability also attracted the interest of customers. With high transfer rates of up to 25 Gbit/s and excellent signal integrity, reliability and robustness, the space-saving MicroSpeed connector is not only flexible for data and telecommunications applications, but its operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C also enables it to be used in a variety of medical technology and industrial automation applications.

     With up to 44 contacts (1 or 2 rows), the new unshielded power connector enables cost-effective power supplies with high current-carrying capacity up to 15A and supports higher operating voltages, thanks to variable contact pitch and selective terminal assembly. This means that these power connectors can now be used flexibly in applications that currently use other or larger connectors.

     All new connectors meet the requirements of modern automation component insertion machines. All SMT terminals are 100% guaranteed and specified for SMT coplanarity with an accuracy difference of less than 0.10mm, making them suitable for cost-effective, fully automated SMT assembly.

     The MicroSpeed signal connector has a double-sided female contact with a wide, uniform and smooth contact surface and an effective contact length of 1.5 mm. A large capture range of 0.85 mm (blind insert version) and a pitch of 1.0 mm ensure safe and reliable insertion and removal with a high level of contact integrity.

     These connectors are designed to be robust, with polarized sockets, blind insert versions, reverse polarity protection and an expanded oriented design that enables user-friendly integration of matched contact support including iot and hard-to-reach automation devices.
