Whether it's capturing video, aggregating sensor data, or designing mobile or Internet of Things applications, Efinix's Titanium Ti180 M484 development kit provides everything you need to get started fast. The kit features Ti180's hardened MIPI D-PHY (up to 2.5 Gbps per channel support) and hardened LPDDR4/4x controller for fast implementation of external FPGA frame buffers.
The kit contains multiple sub-cards so it can be easily connected to various camera modules. The kit includes a Raspberry Pi V2 camera that can be used to transmit video and store data at speeds of up to 2 Gbps in the development board's 256-MBit LPDDR4X. The kit also includes two additional sub-cards, the IMX477 camera connectors, which are compatible with the 22-pin ribbon cable used in the Arducam Raspberry Pi camera module. The connection to these camera modules allows video data processing of the 12.3 megapixel IMX477 sensor and camera module (not included with the IMX477 camera module).
The development suite also features two Macronix high-performance 256-Mb SPI NOR flash chips that allow users to store additional data, such as RISC-V software. Bundled with Ethernet and HDMI output subcards, users can process data in the FPGA and send it to a display or other system. The Ti180 development board also includes an FMC connector (FPGA sandwich card) that allows connections to other IO cards in the ecosystem. The FMC connector enables users to create a proof-of-concept system that best meets their needs.
These features have the highest performance, lowest power consumption, and smallest package compared to any other FPGA solution. After purchasing Titanium development kits, registered users can log on to the Efinix website to download a year's worth of Efinity software (including updates and upgrades). Efinity software provides a complete tool flow from RTL design to bitstream generation, including synthesis, layout and wiring, timing analysis, and hardware debugger with logic analyzer.
It has a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides a visual way to set up projects, run tool streams, and view results. The software also has a command line stream and a TCL command console. The bitstream file generated by the software is used to configure the Trion FPGA on the development board through custom design.
