Electrically isolated eight-channel drivers are ideal for all types of loads

     Stmicroelectronics ISO808x couple isolated 8-channel driver designed to drive one side of any load connected to the ground. Each driver includes two separate electrically isolated voltage domains (VCC and VDD for process and control logic levels).

     These drivers provide low supply current, a maximum 45V process-level supply voltage, a (typical)RDS(ON) 0.125 ohm ON state resistance per channel, IC output disabled reset, high common-mode transient immunity, and output channel short-circuit protection. The drive also provides per-channel overtemperature protection with channel-independent thermal independence, housing overtemperature protection, overvoltage protection, and GND and VCC loss protection.

     The driver contains an additional casing temperature sensor to protect the entire chip from overheating (OVC events). Non-overloaded channels continue to work normally. These drivers include loss ground protection, VCC and VDD UVLOs(with hysteresis), and embedded watchdog functionality. The device is suitable for all loads, including resistive, capacitive and conductive, as well as programmable logic control, industrial PC peripheral input/output and CNC machine tools.
