Elma electronics expands its line of rugged Small Size (SFF) edge computing systems

     Elma electronics expands its rugged line of small size (SFF) edge computing systems to include the JetSys-5330 based on the powerful NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin SoM. The new rugged AI platform offers up to 275 TOPS and multiple extended sites for customizing I/O and storage needs, making it an ideal platform for rugged deployment of deep learning applications.

     By enabling advanced data processing in harsh environments, the platform is well suited to use wireless multi-access edge computing as well as many rugged and mission-critical applications in remote or outdoor environments. Rugged industrial applications, including robots and autonomous mining, agricultural and construction vehicles, could also benefit from its edge computing power.

     Easily configured and extensible to meet mission requirements, the platform combines the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin module with the company's new JetKit-3110 carrier card to provide SoM with the necessary power and interface, As well as three mini-PCIe slots (one that doubles as an mSATA) and two M.2 slots (one B-Key and one M-Key) for custom I/O or fixed storage expansion. The platform's rugged design is IP67 rated and meets MIL-STD-810G, MIL-HDBK-704F, MIL-STD-1275D and other standards. Depending on the system configuration, the power consumption of the platform varies from 53W to 130W. Maximum weight is 16 pounds with optional fan kit.
