Emerson launches the healthcare industry's first integrated valve pack solution for respiratory therapy equipment

     Emerson announced the ASCO 588 series of benchtop oxygen generator valve packs, the first turnkey valve pack solution in the healthcare industry that optimizes the design of respiratory therapy devices and speeds new products to market. For patients who rely on oxygen generators, the machine must be used quickly, so whether the oxygen generator is readily available and stable is critical. The 588 Series valve sets are designed to simplify the engineering and assembly of equipment, improving energy efficiency, service life and reliability.

     Without a valve bank integration solution, the manufacturer would install valves one by one on the air path of the oxygen generator and connect each outlet with a dedicated pipe. The compact and lightweight 588 Series valve sets can easily integrate the fluid path of the oxygen generator, greatly reducing engineering and assembly time for medical device manufacturers. The 588 series features two rugged universal valves that precisely control the air flow between the compressor and the molecular sieve. The valve bank is easily secured in the fluid path, and the barb port design simplifies pipe connections.
