Ethernity Networks has released new products for 5G routing devices

     Ethernity Networks, a leading provider of programmable hardware data processing offloading solutions for accelerating telecom/cloud networks, has announced the launch of the programmable UEP-60 Universal Edge Platform 5G Router, positioned to be the best wireless backpassing indoor/outdoor unit. It offers up to 60Gbps of network capacity and almost unlimited protocol and port configuration flexibility.

     UEP-60 is a solution for network edge infrastructure. It is designed for 5G networks for wireless backpass indoor/outdoor units with integrated layer 1 bindings, front-pass gateways, small base station aggregation, or base station gateways.

     The device utilizes an FPGA SoC to handle data paths and is equipped with a quad-core ARM processor to run the control protocol stack. By combining this control capability with 1G and 10G ports, the UEP-60 is ideally suited as a switch/router network device for aggregating and partitioning WAN and LAN networks. In addition, FPgas also support full routing capabilities and security with add-ons, thereby saving space and cost for network edge devices.

     The beauty of the UEP-60 is that it can be completely customized for specific purposes in the network. Both hardware configurations and FPGas can be customized to meet various needs while achieving maximum performance in a compact, economical device.
