Excelitas Technologies introduces the new PYD 2592 detector

     ExcelitasTechnologies, a global leader in innovative customised optoelectronic solutions, has introduced the new PYD 2592 SMD (Surface Mount) DigiPyro digital pyroelectric detector. The dual-element PYD 2592, like the PYD 2792 SMD DigiPyro recently released by Excelitas, features two parallel standard sensing elements in a compact SMD package housing with an optical window of 5x7mm.

     The latest addition to Excelitas DigiPyro products, the PYD 2792 and PYD 2592 both feature extremely wide field of view (FOV) to provide the flexibility needed for complex motion detection applications, including smart home, Internet of Things (IoT), automotive lighting and security. The PYD 2592 SMD DigiPyro detector from Excelitas operates at 1.8-3.6V, making it compatible with DigiPyro detectors in TO-packages and simplifying the handling and operation of standard PCBA. The PYD 2592 can also be configured with additional parameter Settings (bandpass, threshold) and supports linked microprocessor (µP)/microcontroller (MCU) sleep/wake function.
