Excelitas introduces the new InGaAs avalanche photodiode C30733BQC-01

Excelitas Technologies Corp, an industrial technology leader in innovative, market-driven optoelectronic solutions, has introduced the C30733BQC-01 InGaAs avalanche photodiode. This unique combination of high gain and fast recovery time and low noise performance makes it the ideal solution for high-end telecom test equipment applications, optical communication and distributed fiber optic sensing systems, and eye-safe LiDAR/ laser ranging devices, especially for smart cities and smart factories.

The Excelitas C30733BQC-01 Avalanche photodiode features a unique chip design, advanced performance and typical operating gain of up to 40, representing a new trend in high-speed applications that require an optimal signal-to-noise ratio from 1000 nm to 1700 nm. The C30733BQC-01 Avalanche photodiode is equipped with an FC/APC connector and can be easily installed in all fibre-based systems as an optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) and a distributed fiber optic sensor (DOFS) for distributed temperature sensing (DTS), distributed audio sensing (DAS) and strain measurement. It also has the following characteristics:
