FLIR Systems has announced the launch of four new Exx series handheld thermal cameras

     FLIR Systems has announced the introduction of four new Exx series advanced thermal cameras: E96, E86, E76 and E54. Compared to previous Exx series thermal cameras, these new thermal cameras feature enhanced thermal resolution for more vivid and easy-to-read images, as well as thermal camera path selection to improve site survey efficiency. The new Exx series thermal imagers are designed to help professionals spot early signs of building problems, identify hot spots, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and prevent problems before they cause damage that incurs costly repairs.

     With 640x480 resolution and 8x digital zoom, the E96 is the most advanced Exx series thermal imager to date. It can improve measurement results at the farthest distance from the target, so professionals can safely diagnose electrical faults or find hidden anomalies in temperatures up to 1,500 degrees Celsius (2,732 degrees Fahrenheit), including in harsh industrial environments such as steel mills or kilns, to help keep workplaces running smoothly.

     For the first time, FLIR Inspection Route is now available as a standard feature on every Exx series Thermal camera, paired with FLIR Thermal Studio Pro software with the Route Creator plug-in, which is sold separately on an annual subscription basis. The complete routing package enables professionals to create and export custom inspected and pre-planned routes, ideal for large or multi-plant electrical or mechanical projects.

     The E96, E86, and E76 all feature UltraMax HD image enhancement technology, as well as improved contrast through one-click horizontal and cross-over features to see more image detail. In addition, the interchangeable AutoCal lens is able to fully cover both near and distant targets, and the built-in laser rangefinder ensures the clear focus required for accurate temperature measurements.
