FLIR introduces three refrigerated Neutrino series thermal camera movements

     FLIR Systems announced the launch of three Neutrino Mid-wave infrared (MWIR) thermal camera movements, the lightweight, small-size FLIR Neutrino LC and two FLIR Neutrino Performance series movements, the SX12 and QX. These latest models expand the FLIR Neutrino family of refrigerated thermal camera movements for commercial, industrial and security applications and support original equipment manufacturers (Oems) and system integrators.

     The Neutrino LC is FLIR's first High operating temperature (HOT) mid-wave infrared thermal camera movement and the first movement model in the SWaP+C series (size, weight, power and cost). The movement has the smallest size, lightest weight and lowest power consumption on the market, so the Neutrino LC is suitable for integration into smaller UAVs, which is very easy for operators to extend the flight time of UAVs.

     With FLIR's HOT Focal-plane Array (FPA) technology, FLIR's new linear microcooler, and FLIR's Boson image processing electronics, Neutrino images twice as fast as previous models, allowing optical gas imaging specialists to detect gases faster. And because the camera is based on 640 x 512/15 μ (ISC0403) FPA, the size is perfect for handheld devices and the imaging power consumption is less than 4 watts. In addition, Neutrino has a longer service life and is suitable for installation in security applications where space is limited and maintenance is difficult or costly, meeting the needs of commercial and military markets.

     The two new Neutrino Performance series, the Neutrino SX12 and Neutrino QX, are the highest-resolution mid-wave infrared thermal camera movements of any FLIR product. The Neutrino SX12 is based on 1280 x 1024/12 μ (ISC1308) FPA with a frame rate of 120HZ 720P and &gt. The 60Hz, high-resolution thermal video capture, and the Neutrino QX are based on FLIR 2048 x 1536/10 μ (ISC1501) FPA with more than 3.1 million pixels, making it the highest resolution mid-wave infrared movement of all FLIR products. Both movements in the Neutrino Performance series maintain a wide field of view while providing clear imaging at long distances, making them ideal for ground or airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) as well as anti-drone solutions and wide-area motion imaging (WAMI) applications.
