Flex introduces PKU4116HD series 1/16 brick DC/DC converters suitable for RFPA and PoE applications

     Flex Power Modules has announced the launch of the PKU4116HD DC/DC converter with a through-hole mounting hole. The product has 36 ~ 60V input (80V peak) and fully stabilized 55V output. Its open frame module is in an industry standard 1/16 brick package (33.02mm x 22.86mm x 9.8mm) with a rated output power of 110W/2A and a maximum ambient temperature of 50°C for full load output under natural flow and up to 85°C under air-cooled conditions. The excellent thermal performance of the PKU4116HD also allows the module to operate at 100°C with a high efficiency, with a typical efficiency of 92.4% at 48Vin and full load. The modules are all proven and mature technologies that provide high reliability at an attractive price.

     The input/output isolation of the new product is 2250VDC, meeting the requirements of IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 standard. Its 55V output voltage is particularly suitable for Ethernet power supply and RF power amplifier power supply in microwave radio systems and small cellular base stations. Through a simple external filter circuit, the requirements for conducted electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in EN 55022/32, CISPR 22 and FCC part 15J can be easily met.

     PKU4116HD is suitable for through-hole reflow process to facilitate automatic assembly.
