Fluorescent and photoluminescent printing solutions

     OKW has expanded its range of custom printing colors to meet these needs. Customers can now choose products that use the new fluorescent ink for labels and graphics (printed via screen or tampo). These are excellent warning messages or draw attention to devices such as emergency electronics.

     These special inks convert invisible ultraviolet light into visible light. In this way, the colors are perceived to be brighter, and greater contrast is obtained at the same light intensity. The effect is particularly pronounced against dark backgrounds. These fluorescent inks are also known as high visibility or signal inks and come in yellow, orange, red, pink and green.

     It is also often important to assess the visibility of safety and directional signs or the highlighting of specific equipment functions during hours of darkness or low light conditions. The company now offers photoluminescent inks (phosphorescent inks) to meet these needs. These special inks are mixed with phosphor particles to absorb light, store it and release it again in the dark as an afterglow effect. These inks stand out in screen printing. Therefore, hazardous areas or diffuse lighting conditions often require attention and are necessary.
