GigaDevice has released several GD32F103 and GD32F101 series high-capacity enhanced MCUS

     GigaDevice announced in Beijing several new high-capacity enhanced GD32F103 and GD32F101 series microcontrollers based on the 108MHz ARM Cortex-M3 core. At present, the series of products has begun to provide samples and will be officially put into mass production next month. The newly released GD32F103/GD32F101 series of high-capacity enhanced MCUS have on-chip flash capacity up to 3072KB from 256KB, which is also the industry's largest Cortex-M3 core general purpose microcontroller to date.

     High-performance and reliable on-chip Flash can be rewritten 100,000 times and save data for more than 20 years. The CPU accesses flash memory and executes code with high speed and zero wait, the execution efficiency is 30%-40% higher than that of similar products in the market, and the processing performance can reach 110DMIPS at the highest frequency. With RAM capacities ranging from 32KB to 96KB and available in packages such as LQFP64, LQFP100 and LQFP144, all GD32 series MCUS are compatible with each other in terms of software and pin packaging, providing excellent flexibility and competitive price/performance ratio for system development and upgrades.

     The GD32F103/GD32F101 series of high-capacity enhanced MCUS continue the performance and performance benefits of existing products and further expand the portfolio of high-performance peripherals to leverage the superior performance of industry-standard 32-bit MCUS in product designs that require both USB2.0 FS, CAN, I2S and memory card SDIO interfaces. It integrates up to 14 timers, 5 UART, 3 SPI, and 2 I2C interfaces. In addition, the new analog peripherals include two 12-bit Dacs and up to three 12-bit high-speed ADCs with a sample rate of 1MSPS, two I2S interfaces for audio decoding and output, and the 8/16-bit external bus interface (EXMC) can also support a variety of static memory expansions such as SRAM, NOR Flash, NAND Flash. Enhanced support for device interconnection and control applications to meet the needs of a variety of standard connection functions such as information transmission and human-machine interface.

     GigaDevice's GD32 series MCUS comply with industry security standards with enhanced memory protection units (MPUs) and clock security systems (CSS) to securely execute software code and data, and built-in cyclic redundancy check (CRC) to check the integrity of transmitted and stored data. In addition, the protection of internal Flash data has been enhanced. GD32 MCU adopts patented Flash encryption storage algorithm to automatically encrypt Flash storage hardware, making the storage content of each chip unique, thus enhancing the use of security. Combined with the internal 96-bit Unique ID, it can effectively prevent the chip from being copied or stolen, bringing double security to users.

     GigaDevice is also equipped with a complete set of development tools for the new high-capacity enhanced MCUS, including two full-featured evaluation boards GD32103C-EVAL, GD32103E-EVAL and GD32103C-START Kit with 3.2 "LCD display. In addition, it also provides software tools to support serial online burning. Third-party toolmakers also provide development boards and add software support.
