GigaDevice releases GD32F107 series large-capacity Ethernet connected MCUS

     GigaDevice announced the launch of the latest addition to the GD32 family of microcontrollers, the GD32F107 family of 17 high-capacity interconnected general-purpose MCUS based on the 108MHz ARM Cortex-M3 core. The GD32F107 family opens the way to a wide range of iot applications, supports more high-performance industry standard interfaces including Ethernet, USB OTG, I2S, LCD extensions, and provides enhanced processing performance and real-time features for connected embedded applications such as networking and communications. At the same time, it continues the fully compatible hardware and software ecology of the GD32 product platform, and responds to the challenges of rapidly developing connected applications with excellent flexibility and competitive cost performance.

     The GD32F107 series of high-capacity connected MCUS includes a 10/100M adaptive Fast Ethernet Media access controller (MAC) and support for the IEEE 1588 protocol for precise clock synchronization, enabling developers to develop new highly connected products and real-time applications based on Ethernet connectivity capabilities. On-chip integrated full speed USB OTG interface, can support Device, HOST, OTG three different transmission modes. The GD32F107 also has two CAN2.0B interfaces for simultaneous connection to two field devices based on industry standard CAN buses, and two I2S audio level interfaces based on digital PLL for high stability and anti-interference audio data transmission. The built-in large cache allows these new peripheral interfaces to work simultaneously to meet the needs of industry standard communications, thereby enhancing the integration and connectivity of the system.

     GD32F107 series products have 108MHz high-speed core access flash memory and high-speed zero wait for code execution, working performance up to 110 DMIPS, processing efficiency than similar products in the market increased by 30%-40%. Flash capacity from 128KB to 1024KB, SRAM up to 96KB, can easily cope with the embedded protocol stack and peripherals running simultaneously resource overhead. The chip also integrates up to 15 timers, 5 UART, 3 SPI, 2 I2C interfaces and supports 8/16-bit external bus and LCD expansion functions, analog peripherals provide up to 3 ADCs and 2 Dacs, and packages are available in LQFP64, LQFP100 and LQFP144. The GD32F107 series also features unique identification and patented encrypted storage, providing double protection for on-chip data security.
