HARTING Han HPR connector system for harsh environment provides shielding and effective mechanical coding system

     HARTING's Han HPR high-performance transformer connector (HPTC) series is specially developed for railway transformer applications. Transformer connections are subject to environmental impacts, including mechanical shock, water, oil, direct sunlight and ozone, all of which have a negative impact on the service life of the connection. The Han HPR standard allows use in harsh environments. Enclosures, enclosures and cable glands have been optimized for outdoor use; Everything is designed to be very solid, so that the connection between pantograph, transformer and train bus can be stable for a long time.

     Han HPR HPTC simplifies installation. No shrink or tape is required to set the transformer connection. Interface preparation is rapid; Crimp the contacts, insert the shielded insulator into the housing, close the cover, and prepare the cable side. There are many coding options available. The two coding elements in the mounting housing open up 16 different combination possibilities. Therefore, one connector type is sufficient for transformer connection; Everything else can be controlled by coding. This significantly reduces the inventory required and helps reduce costs.

     Han HPR HPTC series is an improved product. The dimensions of the transformer side are the same as the existing solutions on the market. The existing transformer profile is reused, which means there is no need to change the design. Customers can use the HARTING enclosure system to replace the previous solution.
