Harwin Hi rel connectors provide greater board to board spacing

     In order to support customers' more extensive applications, Harwin has added another option to its popular Datamate series High Reliability (Hi rel) connectors. When used with the existing Datamate J-Tek connector series (equipped with locking screws for safe installation), the board to board height is 7.3 mm. The new female connector can provide a significantly larger 17.15 mm connection height and more space between PCBs, enabling designers to flexibly use larger on-board components or wire.

     Like all products in the Datamate family, these new connectors have industry-leading temperature, vibration, and impact resistance. Therefore, even in the most demanding application environments, they can provide reliable long-term operation and support security critical applications. In addition, the circuit board installation locking screw can reduce the welding terminal stress, and the guide sign can help the system bonding.

     Datamate connectors with extended board to board spacing will benefit engineers who develop high-end industrial, aerospace, defense systems and heavy duty portable devices. These products can provide a dual row layout of 10, 20 or 30 contact versions and are compatible with existing male through board connectors. All joint contact surfaces are gold plated and terminated in gold or tin.
