Harwin released anti vibration pin piercing connector, which can provide advantages of reflow process

     Harwin has released another new member of Datamate series 2mm pitch high reliability (Hi rel) connectors. Datamate pin perforation reflow soldering (PIHR) products have been carefully designed to provide designers with reliable solutions that are very suitable for automatic assembly. As part of the company's Datamate L-Tek series, these connectors have a latch configuration. They have 2mm long terminations instead of 3mm compared to standard Datamate connectors.

     Harwin's Datamate PIHR connector can provide two contact and three contact versions. The latch mechanism used in these components can provide fast pairing connection and high vibration resistance without occupying precious circuit board space.

     Datamate PIHR connectors are ideal for connecting encoders and sensors to machine and robot systems, where the accuracy of position and motion determination is critical. They also provide reliable connectivity for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) modules installed in high vibration environments.

     These connectors can be provided in the form of rolled tape, which can avoid any manual operation before welding, and can be installed using an automatic pick and place machine. Pin in hole reflow soldering - also known as Pin in Paste (PIP), its termination can bring the mechanical retention of through hole technology (THT) and the advantages and cost-effectiveness of surface mount technology (SMT) production process.
