Harwin strengthens its existing supply of cable assemblies with the addition of the compact Gecko-SL product

     Leveraging its extensive expertise, Harwin has recently expanded its existing range of high-reliability cable assemblies. With Harwin's popular Datamate products, the award-winning Gecko Screw-Lok (GECKO-SL) 1.25mm connector series has expanded to include a wider selection of cable assemblies. This helps customers avoid upfront investment in equipment and the cost of training personnel needed to do such work in-house.

     Available in both single-ended and double-ended formats, Gecko-SL cable assemblies fully comply with the industry-recognized IPC-620 cable and harness industry standard, and they can be specified as cable-to-cable or cable-to-board emboditions. Each cable has a 26AWG wire gauge PTFE architecture with a length of 150/300/450mm (6/12/18 in).

     These components are fully compatible with the existing metal backshell, resulting in increased mechanical fastness and strong electromagnetic compatibility. With the help of hexagonal slotted screws and a pre-lock engagement mechanism, these rugged components are easy to deploy, especially in space-constrained applications. These components also benefit from the Gecko-SL connector's high shock/vibration resistance, ability to withstand more extreme temperatures, and relatively strong current carrying capacity (2A current per contact despite the narrow spacing).

     Customers can choose between 6 and 50 pin arrays for their components, all of which are available in stock from Harwin and its global distribution partners, meaning shorter lead times, no impact on the production of the final system, and the necessary fixed hardware, either directly or as part of the back shell kit.
