Holtek Launches New Generation Integrated Flash MCU for Brushless DC Motor

     Holtek introduced a new generation of integrated flash MCU BD66FM6550G dedicated to brushless DC motors, which integrates MCU, LDO and 3-channel 48V pre drive (Gate Driver). It is very suitable for small PCB space, and can support square wave and chord wave control. With Sensorless enhanced filter, it can make starting or low speed more stable, and is very suitable for electric tools, pumps, fans and other products with 8 series of lithium batteries or less.

     BD66FM6550G has 8K × 16 Flash ROM、2K × 8 RAM、512 × 8 EEPROM and internal system frequency are 20MHz, with 10+1 channels of 12 bit ADC, and 4 groups of 16 bit and 10 bit Timers are configured. BLDC motor control circuit provided for BLDC control includes 16 bit speed monitoring Timer, three groups of 10 bit dead zone complementary PWM outputs and OCP overcurrent protection function.

     BD66FM6550G detects the position of the Hall element or the Sensorless rotor through three built-in comparators, and configures a back EMF noise suppression filter circuit.
