Honeywell introduces an ultra-rugged MEMS IMU for both military and civilian use

     Honeywell has introduced a series of rugged MEMS inertial measurement Units (IMUs), the HG1125 and HG1126, that demonstrate high-precision performance and durability in high-impact environments, are roughly the size of mineral water bottle caps, and are affordable for both military and civilian use.

     The series can withstand shocks of up to 40000G, making it one of Honeywell's most rugged MEMS IMU products. The HG1125 and HG1126 are suitable for a variety of defense and commercial applications, such as tactical military requirements, drilling, unmanned aerial vehicles, navigation systems for general aviation aircraft, and more.

     The HG1125 and HG1126, which use MEMS inertial sensors to accurately measure motion, are the latest products in Honeywell's tactical IMU facility, which delivers nearly 100,000 IMU units annually to customers across market segments, with the first deliveries scheduled for June.

     With a family of navigation products dating back to the 1920s, Honeywell has long been a pioneer in the development of MEMS IMU products, and its high-performance navigation solutions are used in a variety of aircraft and vehicles worldwide.
