     Stmicroelectronics IPS1025HFQ is a monolithic architecture of the M0T5 VIPower Technology, assembled in a QFN48L(8mm x 6mm) package. An IC is a single high-side switching device that can drive capacitive, resistive or inductive loads where one side is connected to the ground (high-side switching). The operating voltage is recommended to be between 8.65V and 60v, but the breakdown voltage on the power supply pin can reach 65v.


     The output stage is an n-channel power mosfet, typically R(DS(ON)) at ambient temperature of 12 mOhm, internally limited to a minimum output current of 2.5 a. The IC can be set to two current limiting levels (ILIMH-X and ILIML-X) for loads such as smart drive bulbs and loads where the initial peak current request is a capacitive load.


     The switch features two pairs of current limiting thresholds and levels (IPKH, ILIMH and IPKL per DPK time, ILIML) and embedded protection for integrated diagnostics, making the device suitable for implementing functional, robust machinery for loads with initial peak current requests.


     IPS1025HFQ The power on/off delay is less than 60 μs. It is suitable for the security Integrity Level (SIL) of the interface type C(or D) 3. The StEVAL-IFP040v1 industrial digital output expansion board for STM32 Nucleo provides a powerful and flexible environment for evaluating drive and diagnostic capabilities of IPS1025HFQ(single high side intelligent power solid-state relay) in digital output modules connected to 2.5a (maximum) industrial loads.


     The IPS1025HFQ is a monolithic device that can drive capacitive, resistive or inductive loads where one side is connected to the ground. The IC is specifically designed to drive heavy loads in PLC modules with very low power consumption or to drive one-way motors in vending machine applications.
