IQD introduces low-voltage CMOS clock oscillator for extended battery life

     Nowadays, billions of electronic devices have been developed to meet the needs of consumers. As technology evolves, devices need to operate at lower and lower voltages, which means the system may need to have multiple power rails. Thanks to this IQD, subsidiaries of the WurthElektronik eiSos Group have produced a range of frequency products that operate at these low voltages, thus offering system designers the opportunity to develop systems with a common power rail. This approach results in a reliable PCBA that supports the miniaturization of PCBS by reducing the number of components while achieving design goals.

     IQD's low voltage CMOS clock oscillator is available in JEDEC standard voltage classes of 0.9V, 1.2V and 1.5V CMOS devices. The IQXO-691 series of oscillators is ideal for designs that require extended battery life, including body camera services for security, digital cameras, personal navigation devices (PNDS), portable audio players, portable test devices as well as USB interfaces, WLAN and wearable applications.

     Clock oscillators are available in four industry-standard packages: 2.5 x 2.0 mm, 3.2 x 2.5 mm, 5.0 x 3.2 mm and 7.0 x 5.0 mm. In addition, the IQXO-691 series has frequency stability as low as ±20 ppm in the operating temperature range of -20 to 70°C and ±25 ppm in the operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C.
