Imagination takes efficiency to new heights with the latest D-Series GPU IP

     Imagination Technologies announced the launch of its latest GPU IP, Imagination DXTP, which sets a new standard for efficient acceleration of graphics and compute workloads on smartphones and other power-constrained devices. Thanks to a series of microarchitecture improvements, DXTP improves power efficiency (FPS/W) by up to 20% over its predecessor, DXT, on common graphics workloads.

     DXTP delivers graphics processing power of up to 64 GPixel/s, FP32 performance of 2 TFLOPS and INT8 TOPS AI performance with a hyperparallel computing engine operating at 1GHz. DXTP is available in two off-the-shelf configurations and is licensed for use in the mobile and automotive sectors. In addition to performance and efficiency optimization, DXTP is highly flexible and supports fully secure GPU multitasking (through Imagination's low overhead hardware virtualization technology), capable of running graphics and compute tasks simultaneously.

     DXTP is powered by Imagination's proven software ecosystem and award-winning SDKS and tools. It comes with a highly optimized OpenCL™ compute library that improves GPU utilization for common AI tasks, while providing reference suites for oneAPI and TensorGraph to accelerate porting of existing code on Imagination hardware. The optimized LiteRT support will support Imagination Gpus for high-performance AI on the Android™ platform. Application developers can also use the PowerVR developer tools for low-level performance analysis, debugging, tracking and capture, and get expert support through the Imagination Developer Forum.
