In the IoT system, trust mechanism is the cornerstone of various interactions between devices and cloud services. Therefore, each device must be provided with a unique trusted identity for security authentication when the device is connected to the network. At the same time, providing security IDs for thousands of devices is a big challenge for OEMs. In order to help OEMs cope with these challenges, Infineon Technology Co., Ltd. has combined the OPTIMA Trust M Express security chip with the CIRRENT Cloud ID service to launch a high-end security solution to provide hardware trust anchors for large-scale access of Internet of Things devices to the cloud.
From manufacturing to cloud service configuration to on-site deployment, the recently released OPTIMA Trust M Express security chip can provide hardware level security for IoT devices around all aspects. The encrypted identity provided by the OPTIMA Trust M Express security chip is configured in the security certified Infineon lab. At each stage of the product life cycle, its encrypted identity will be protected from disclosure. With this out of the box solution, OEM manufacturers simply do not need to build and maintain highly secure production facilities to provide unique ID information for equipment, thus simplifying the production process, speeding up the speed of product launch, and reducing costs.
The Infineon CURRENT Cloud ID, which is provided with the OPTIMA Trust M Express security chip, is a cloud service that can automatically complete the certificate registration of IoT devices and configure large-scale IoT devices to the product cloud. The perfect combination of these two solutions enables developers to easily and securely configure IoT devices and connect them to the cloud, while enhancing the security of devices from the production and manufacturing stage. This simplifies the process of configuring IoT devices to the customer's product cloud, allowing devices to quickly go to the cloud without human intervention, thus avoiding human errors. As a result, customers can save time and resources, and achieve highly flexible scalability of cloud on devices.
