As software becomes a key feature of various embedded solutions in today's products, embedded developers must acquire and use the right software tools to bring these products to market, such as development tools that provide flexibility and the best platform in terms of features and functionality to support deployment from the entry stage to the final deployment on hardware. Infineon Technologies AG today announced the launch of the more powerful ModusToolbox 3.1, which makes it easier for developers to use more features to develop software solutions for hardware design.
Infineon's ModusToolbox 3.1 adds a control panel application that centralizes entry-level teaching resources, including key documents, training modules, video tutorials and links to relevant community forums. The control panel provides workflow guidance to help developers create new embedded projects for a variety of integrated development environments, It covers various development environments such as Microsoft Visual Studio Code, IAR Embedded Workbench, Arm MDK (µVision IDE), or Eclipse IDE included in ModusToolbox.
The latest version of ModusToolbox also includes important updates to the BSP Assistant, including a new user interface through which developers can create board-level support packages (BSPS) using a chain-centric process. In addition, the latest version of ModusToolbox will continue to support the reference BSP in Infineon's development board management library.
