Infineon expands LITIX Power family products through dual channel DC-DC controllers

     LED lighting can not only improve road driving safety, but also help to achieve flexible shape design, bringing new design trends, and is becoming increasingly important in the automotive field. In order to meet the consequent market demand, Infineon Technology Co., Ltd. launched the dual channel independent DC-DC controller TLD6098-2ES, further expanding its LITIX Power series product lineup.

     This controller is the first product that can drive a complete automobile LED headlamp without additional microcontroller. It can realize four standard functions of LED headlights: high beam (HB), low beam (LB), daytime running lamp (DRL) and turn signal lamp (TURN). In addition, LITIX Power series products can also act as a flexible power supply to meet the growing demand for animation effects of LED lights outside the vehicle.

     TLD6098-2ES is a multi topology controller, which can support boost, buck, SEPIC and flyback topology. The integrated PMOS gate driver has a high side load disconnection function, which can reduce the LED brightness to ensure high system reliability. In addition, the integrated spread spectrum modulator improves EMC performance and facilitates system verification at the customer's site. Each channel of TLD6098-2ES can provide analog and PWM dimming functions, which can accurately control LED brightness. TLD6098-2ES has a wide input voltage range of 4.5 V to 60 V, and can even support battery system applications with a working voltage of 24 V.
