Infineon expands its AIROC Wi-Fi 6/6E portfolio with the introduction of the powerful CYW5591x series wireless microcontrollers

     Infineon Technologies AG, the global semiconductor leader in power systems and the Internet of Things, has launched the new AIROC™ CYW5591x wireless microcontroller (MCU) product family. The new family integrates powerful long range Wi-Fi 6/6E with low energy Bluetooth 5.4 and secure multi-function MCUS, enabling customers to build lower cost and energy efficient products in smaller sizes for smart home, industrial, wearables and other iot applications.

     The platform is highly flexible, enabling faster time to market for customers' products. This is possible with Infineon's ModusToolbox™ software, RTOS and Linux host drivers, a fully validated Bluetooth protocol stack and multiple sample code, support for Matter software, and support from Infineon's global partners.

     This flexible family of wireless MCUS can be used either as the main processor for crop-connected devices or as a subsystem in more complex designs to provide wireless connectivity for iot applications. The series is currently available in three versions: the CYW55913 (2.4/5/6 GHz) for triple-band, the CYW55912 (2.4/5 GHz) for dual-band, The Cyw55912 (2.4/5 GHZ) for dual-band, and the CYW55911 (2.4GHz) for single-band.
