Infineon introduces OPTIGA™ Authenticate IDoT anti-counterfeiting turnkey solution

OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT is an industry-leading embedded security solution that provides enhanced hardware-based ECC security and outstanding flexibility to meet the needs of customers and applications.

     Consumer equipment, household appliances and industrial machinery are always at risk of counterfeit spare parts and accessories. Counterfeit products can compromise functionality, user safety and, in turn, brand value. To address this issue, Infineon is introducing the OPTIGA™ Authenticate IDoT anti-counterfeiting turnkey solution, which combines enhanced authentication with unprecedented configuration flexibility. OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT is an industry-leading embedded security solution that provides enhanced hardware-based ECC security and outstanding flexibility to meet the needs of customers and applications.

     With an extended temperature range from -40° to +120°C, the solution is ideal for industrial applications and supports the growing and ubiquitous demand for certification. Its applications range from disposable items for HVAC and water purification filters, to portable devices, lightweight electric vehicles, and rechargeable batteries for computing and robotics systems in highly complex e-mobility, industrial and Internet of Things (IoT) environments.

     OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT comes in a robust and proven TSNP SMD package, measuring just 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.38 mm3. It supports four ECC authentication modes: one-way, bidirectional, host-bound, and host-supported. Designers can choose from three temperature ranges, two communication profiles, three sets of memory, and four integrated safe decay counters with secure lifecycle management, no external Ldos, and robust ESD protection. In addition, OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT also offers a unique chip turn in key digital certificate and key pair.
