Infineon introduces reliable Wi-Fi 4 solutions optimized for the latest WPA3 security standard

     Infineon Technologies has announced the launch of the industry's dedicated Wi-Fi 4 solution that meets the latest WPA3 security standard, expanding its portfolio of cost-effective and high-performance secure IoT solutions. As a combination Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/BLE chip for iot applications such as smart thermostats or smart lighting, the new Infineon CYW43439 solution will help product designers better comply with emerging security regulations around the world, including the California Consumer Privacy Act. This gives consumers more privacy rights, including the right to know about personal information collected by companies and to request that that information be deleted.

     Since the vast majority of iot products operate efficiently with basic connectivity enabled by Wi-Fi 4, the standard will remain widely used in iot design for years to come. According to ABI Research, about 500 million new iot devices with Wi-Fi 4 connectivity are expected to be delivered by 2025. As a result, these devices need to always support the latest security standards such as WPA3, which can provide stronger authentication, higher encryption strength, and more resilient mission-critical networks. With the Infineon CYW43439 solution, designers can provide the network connectivity consumers require while at the same time leveraging the WPA3 security standard to increase the security of their products.

The product family can be used across platforms such as RTOS, Linux and Android; In addition, it supports the development of software to address advanced intelligent coexistence of multi-user Wi-Fi and Bluetooth applications, enabling multiple connections at the same time, including BLE Mesh networking. These devices reduce CPU load by providing host SoC load reduction processing for network management and audio applications, thereby reducing system power consumption. Its optimized library based software allows you to connect to a mobile device or any cloud service at any time.
