Infineon introduces the XMC7000 series microcontroller for industrial applications

     Infineon Technologies has introduced the XMC7000 Series microcontroller (MCU) for industrial drive, electric vehicle (EV) charging, electric two-wheelers, robotics and other advanced industrial applications. The XMC7000 family of microcontrollers includes single-core and dual-core products based on 32-bit Arm Cortex-M7 processors with a dominant frequency of up to 350-MHz, as well as 32-bit Arm Cortex-M0+ processors with a dominant frequency of 100-MHz, Embedded flash memory with capacity up to 8MB and static on-chip random access memory (SRAM) with capacity of 1MB are also available. The series of microcontrollers operates at a voltage range of 2.7 to 5.5 V and supports temperatures ranging from -40°C to 125°C.

     The new XMC7100 and XMC7200 products from Infineon's XMC7000 family of microcontrollers further enrich the XMC family of microcontrollers lineup for industrial control. The Infineon XMC7100 comes with 4MB of flash memory, 768 kB of RAM, and is available in 250 MHz single-core or dual-core versions in either a 100, 144 or 176 pin QFP package or a 272 pin BGA package. The Infineon XMC7200 comes with 8 MB of flash memory, 1 MB of RAM, and is available in 350 MHz single-core or dual-core versions in a 176-pin QFP package or a 272-pin BGA package.
