Infineon introduces the industry's first AEC-Q103 certified XENSIVTM MEMS microphone for high-performance vehicles

Infineon Technologies announces the XENSIV IM67D130A. The new device combines Infineon's expertise in the automotive industry with leading technology in high-end MEMS microphones to meet the demand for high-performance, low-noise MEMS microphones for automotive applications. The XENSIV IM67D130A is the first microphone on the market to be certified for automotive applications, which will help simplify the design effort and reduce the risk of certification failure.

     Infineon Technologies announces the XENSIV IM67D130A. The new device combines Infineon's expertise in the automotive industry with leading technology in high-end MEMS microphones to meet the demand for high-performance, low-noise MEMS microphones for automotive applications. The XENSIV IM67D130A is the first microphone on the market to be certified for automotive applications, which will help simplify the design effort and reduce the risk of certification failure.

 

     The microphone's operating temperature ranges from -40°C to + 105°C, making it suitable for a variety of harsh automotive environments. The product features a 130 dB SPL high acoustic overload point (AOP) to capture distortion-free audio signals in noisy environments. The IM67D130A is therefore ideal for cabin applications such as hands-free systems, emergency calls, in-cabin communications and active noise reduction (ANC). Not only that, the product is also ideal for external automotive applications, such as sirens or road condition detection. These features make the product an auxiliary sensor for advanced driver assistance systems and predictive maintenance.

 

     Combining a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 67 dB with ultra-low distortion, this microphone provides the best voice quality and outstanding voice interaction intelligence for speech recognition applications. In addition, the product features compact sensitivity matching to provide optimized beamforming algorithms for multiple microphone arrays. XENSIV MEMS microphone IM67D130A is fully compliant with the AEC-Q103-003 standard for automotive applications.
