Infineon launched WLC1115 transmitter controller IC

     Infineon WLC1115 is a highly integrated, Qi standard protocol compliant, fully configurable 15 W transmitter controller IC, which is suitable for wireless charging solutions. It integrates USB-PD/PPS power receiving terminal chip, DC/DC controller, DC/DC grid driver, full bridge inverter, inductive peripherals and configurable flash memory. The WLC1115 supports a wide input voltage range from 4.5 V to 24 V, as well as ASK demodulation based on multi-path voltage and current. In addition, the controller not only carries an integrated programmable high-voltage side current induction amplifier, but also realizes foreign object detection (FOD) based on Q factor, resonant frequency and power loss. It also has comprehensive programmable protection functions, including UVLO, OVP, OCP and OTP.

     The transmitter solution based on WLC1115 and compliant with Extended Power Profile (EPP) adopts OPTIMA ™ Trust Charge, which meets the certification requirements specified in Qi v1.3.2 standard. With Infineon's very comprehensive USB-C charger product series and extensive MOSFET product portfolio, WLC1115 solution can provide a complete product portfolio, which helps to meet strict regulatory and compliance requirements. In addition, it also comes with software tools to support Qi v1.3.2 standard and private charging protocol.
