Infineon launches CIPOS Tiny IM323-L6G new smart power module

     Infineon Technology Co., Ltd. launched a new product of CIPOS Tiny IM323-L6G 600 V 15 A, further expanding its product portfolio of CIPOS Tiny Intelligent Power Module (IPM) series. This new IPM uses TRENCHSTOP ™ RC-D2 IGBT power switch devices and advanced SOI grid drive technology can maximize efficiency, achieve higher reliability, and minimize overall dimensions and reduce system costs. Integrated packaging of discrete power semiconductors and drivers allows designers to save time and effort in product design, thus significantly accelerating the speed of product launch. The module can be used for the main household appliances, especially the drivers of indoor air conditioners.

     CIPOSTM Tiny IM323-L6G is optimized for three-phase inverters with power up to 1.2 kW and switching frequency range of 1-20 kHz. The device adopts the advanced 600 V TRENCHSTOP ™ RC-D2 IGBT technology integrates diode on IGBT, and the maximum working junction temperature is 175 º C. In addition, this new IPM is also equipped with a new durable C5 SOI grid driver, which can calmly cope with the negative pressure spike at the motor output end, ensure that the short circuit resistance of at least 3 µ s is achieved, and improve the self-protection capability and safety under fault. In case of over-current and undervoltage, the IPM can prevent cross conduction and turn off all switches.

     The IM323-L6G uses a robust 33 x 19 mm2 DIP package with pins and built-in NTC thermistor to provide high flexibility for structural design. The encapsulation adopted by it has better robustness, which also brings higher reliability. The module also uses the latest power switching devices and grid drive technology, which can achieve excellent performance. In addition, Infineon has its own front and back factories for production, which also ensures the stability of supply.
