Infineon partners with Edge Impulse to expand edge AI capabilities to bring more platform choices to Bluetooth customers

Infineon Technologies has announced a partnership with Edge Impulse to extend its micro machine learn-based AI development tools for PSoC 63 Bluetooth Low Energy microcontrollers (MCUS). Ai iot application developers can now use the Edge Impulse Studio environment to build edge machine learning (ML) applications on high-performance, low-power PSoC 63 Bluetooth Low-power microcontrollers.

     Infineon Technologies has announced a partnership with Edge Impulse to extend its micro machine learn-based AI development tools for PSoC 63 Bluetooth Low Energy microcontrollers (MCUS). Ai iot application developers can now use the Edge Impulse Studio environment to build edge machine learning (ML) applications on high-performance, low-power PSoC 63 Bluetooth Low-power microcontrollers.

 

     The collaboration provides customers with more flexibility and platform choice to locally develop and configure machine learning applications in systems based on PSoC 63 Bluetooth Low Energy microcontroller devices that offer 150-MHz Arm® CPU performance, low power connectivity, and a rich suite of peripheral options. For example, the CY8CKIT-062-BLE Pioneer kit with an E-Ink display module (CY8CKIT-028-EPD) contains an inertial measurement unit, microphone, and temperature sensor. It enables the use of AI models to process real data collected by sensors in systems optimized for low-power, low-cloud cost edge iot environments.

 

     Infineon's PSoC 63 Bluetooth Low Energy microcontroller is based on the Arm® Cortex-M4F and Arm Cortex-M0+ dual-core chip architecture, which combines Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2, configurable voltage and frequency Settings, built-in hardware security, and cutting-edge capacitor interfaces on a single chip. As the only 150 MHz Bluetooth low energy microprocessor on the market, this Infineon PSoC device combines energy efficiency, small size and programmability to perfectly fit edge iot applications that benefit from running advanced deep learning algorithms.

 

     Edge Impulse's products simplify the process of collecting and building datasets, using pre-built building blocks to design algorithms, validate models with real-time data, and deploy fully optimized production-ready solutions on edge targets such as the PSoC 63 Bluetooth Low Energy microcontroller.
