Intel announces the 11th generation of Intel Core processors

     Led by the Intel Core i9-11900K flagship, Intel announced the global launch of the 11th generation Intel Core S Series desktop processor (codenamed Rocket Lake-S). With an Intel Thermal Velocity Boost that pulses up to 5.3GHz, the Intel Core i9-11900K delivers increased performance for gamers and PC performance gamers.

     The 11th-generation Intel Core S Series desktop processor, based on the new Cypress Cove microarchitecture, delivers better hardware and software conversion efficiency and improves original game performance. The new microarchitecture delivers up to a 19% increase in the number of instructions per clock cycle (IPC) compared to the previous generation for the highest time core, and the Intel UHD graphics chip with the Intel Xe architecture has rich media and intelligent graphics display capabilities. Games and most applications still rely heavily on the high time core, which is still very important for driving high frame rates and low latency.
