InvenSense introduced a multimode microphone with I2S digital output

     TDK InvenSense's ICS‐43434 is a digital I(2)S output bottom microphone. The complete ICS‐43434 solution includes MEMS sensors, signal conditioning, analog-to-digital converters, extraction and anti-aliasing filters, power management, and an industry-standard 24‐bit I(2)S interface. The I(2)S interface allows ICS‐43434 to connect directly to digital processors such as DSPS and microcontrollers without the need for audio codecs in the system.

     ICS-43434 is a bottom port microphone with I(2)S digital output. A pair of ICS-43434 microphones can be connected directly to the processor's input, eliminating the need for a discrete ADC or codec.
