     The new ASI8100 Drive Integrated stepper motor from the Beckhoff Compact Drive Technology product range (up to 48 V DC) combines the stepper motor, the stepper motor output stage and the fieldbus interface in one compact package. The ASI8100 can be used as an EtherCAT slave station and is mounted directly on the device, eliminating the need for a control cabinet and upstream I/O layer, enabling a highly compact controlless device solution.

     The series meets all motion control requirements for stepper motors up to 250 W. In this case, the integrated status LED is used to indicate the monitored operating status of the motor. Simple functional blocks for motion control applications have been pre-integrated with the integrated motion trajectory control function. The standard M8(for EtherCAT) and M12(L-coded, for power supply) connectors both use cost-effective, industry-standard connection technology. Driver related functions, such as detecting end position or latch position, can be efficiently performed with two additional plug-in I/ OS.

     The NEMA 17 driver (42 mm) is the smallest in the family, with two longitudinal lengths to choose from and maintains torque of 0.29 Nm or 0.8 Nm. There are also four larger NEMA 23 drivers (56 mm) with holding torques of 0.75 Nm, 1.4 Nm, 2.35 Nm and 2.5 Nm. Pre-installed cables and base components, such as IP67 power distribution terminal boxes, are available as accessories.
