KEMET, part of YAGEO and a leading global supplier of electronic components, announced the launch of its new GTX series of metal shell three-phase filters. The series meets the growing need for EMI-RFI filters to suppress electromagnetic conduction noise in general-purpose inverters and medical power supplies

     As a part of YAGEO and a global leading supplier of electronic components, KEMET announced the launch of its new GTX series metal shell three-phase filter. This series meets the growing demand for EMI RFI filters, which can suppress electromagnetic conducted noise in universal inverters and medical power supplies. KEMET GTX metal housing filter can meet three-phase EMC requirements with various characteristics.

 

     These filters are made of nanocrystalline magnetic cores, which achieve excellent damping and attenuation characteristics in a compact size, and have a wider frequency range. In addition, six different Y capacitor combinations can be selected to support various device topologies. These filters are the most volume efficient in the industry. Due to their high mechanical density, they are compact and light in weight, and ideal for industrial and medical applications that are critical to inhibiting EMC.

 

     The rated voltage of GTX series is 500VAC (50/60Hz), 500VDC (250VAC, 353.3VDC for c-UL). These filters can operate in the temperature range of - 25 ℃ to+55 ℃. In addition, due to the use of nanocrystalline metal core, its rated current is 30A to 60A. GTX has passed UL, c-UL, T | V safety certification and complies with RoHS and REACH standards. These filters comply with EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863. This series has excellent attenuation characteristics, which can meet the needs of design engineers to suppress the noise of electronic equipment. Therefore, it is suitable for machine tools, industrial robots, wind power generation, power storage systems, medical equipment, diagnostic instruments and other applications.

 

     Many solutions comparable to GTX series are made of ferrite materials, so they have larger space occupation area and heavier weight. This series can support the trend of the industry to improve EMC requirements through EMI-RFI three-phase filters with high volume efficiency, compact structure and light weight.
