Knowles MLC capacitors are ideal for applications such as MRI machines and antenna tuning

     Knowles has developed a solution for nonmagnetic applications that uses a copper barrier instead of a nickel barrier and tins the top. This non-magnetic terminal has selected non-magnetic high q (C0G/NP0), X5R and X7R dielectrics, providing completely non-magnetic components（ μ r=1.0000)。 In order to meet the high temperature+260 ° C welding reflow profile detailed in J-STD-020, high q media provide sintered solder terminals, while X5R and X7R media use Knowles' successful FlexiCap  Solder terminals. The best mechanical properties of ribbon lead terminals can also be used for high q, high power RF components. All standard capacitance tolerances support ± 0.05 pF/0.5%.

     Although the primary uses are MRI and NMR, the absence of nickel also makes these components suitable for applications with low PIM requirements. The components are also suitable for standard RF applications.
